  One of the worst meals I've ever had. We were recommended to Dorn's by our hotel. There wasn't really any wait, so that was good. The drinks were really bad - all sugar and bottom shelf (good if that's you're thing I guess). I order scallops and couldn't even eat them. It's like they weren't even cooked and were just slothered in butter. I wound up having one or two and then gave up and just ate the vegetables. My fiancee's dish wasn't much better either. On top of it all the bill was outrageous for the quality of the food. Would never go back or recommend

  It pains me to give this 3 stars, as the server and staff were absolutely a 5 star. Clean bathroom, clean silverware, good wine pairing recommendations, perfect reservation readiness and preparedness, and quick billing. The negatives: the clam chowder was bland. very bland. People come to these places JUST for the clam chowder, why is it bland? I know there are different styles of chowder, but why bland? Next: my brother ordered the steak and shrimp: shrimp was awesome, steak could barely be cut with the knife that was issued. Very tough and not well seasoned. Disappointing. Everyone else's meal was awesome and we will likely eat here again. I'd stick with the seafood.

  Good dinner. Not great, but good. I had the prime rib was a really good piece of meat. Also tasted the blackened salmon which was great, clay chowder had lots of class unlike many in the area. Really solid meal. The lady waitress was very pleasant as well. Pretty ambiance. It's a block away from the shore but is elevated so still has a great view. Will return.
